Taproot is an ensemble collective that centers new work, uplifts the stories of women and other marginalized genders, and emphasizes non-hierarchical collaboration. We are committed to making art accessible to all and creating work that sparks thought, conversation and action.
Our weekly writer's workshops offer an opportunity for our members to receive feedback and to hear their work read aloud. Many of the scripts developed in our writers' workshops go on to be Taproot productions.
We support every step of our members' creative processes, presenting new work to the world through staged readings, fully produced films, and compelling plays.
